The 1939 red brick building on John Stenbergin Ranta in Helsinki, formerly known as the Wärtsilä building, as it served as headquarters of the engineering company for several decades – was 2018 due for an interior renovation. Aiming to preserve the industrial historical feeling of the building while renewing it into carefully detailed work, Pes Architects in Helsinki installed new lighting, new Bolon flooring in various designs and colorful furniture to make the office interior setting more informal and relaxed – but still modern and fresh.
