In an exciting collaboration and exhibition by internationally acclaimed designer Martino Gamper, Before, After & Beyond is an entire transformation of an 18thcentury London townhouse.
Each room has been specially staged: a music and games room, a study, a living/dining space, a bedroom, all furnished by Martino Gamper.
The installation covers the full range of his work from early one-off experiments, museum projects, industrial products, private commissions, as well as major new designs, rethought early works and unseen pieces – some using reclaimed materials and found works by known designers as a point of departure.
New works include beds, desks, handblown and cut glass lamps, dining chairs, drinks trolleys, games tables, a backgammon set, a freestanding bar, mirrors, library shelving and experiments using repurposed Franco Albini and Paolo Buffa.
Gamper has teamed up with Bolon UK to bring his visionary approach to flooring with a unique flooring installation featuring specially commissioned rugs and Bolon studio shapes. Known for his transformative approach to everyday objects, Gamper’s work is rooted in the art of recontextualising and reinventing familiar forms. His collaboration with Bolon continues this tradition, with a focus on crafting dynamic spaces through creative design solutions. The installation features Bolon flooring, but with a twist; Gamper’s expert eye for geometry and texture is at the forefront, using custom Bolon Studio Triangles and Wing shapes to design bold rugs and flooring installation.
